BYE BYE Chrysler !

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/AP-Sou...&asset=&ccode=

Well, they're not really going "away". Just chapter 11.

But to me this makes so much sense. how could those lazy ******* that never did **** at UAW get over 50% of The company while the debt holders (40 hedge funds) get that pissed poor little like 10% or something. ****.

Now its time to fired all those UAW lazy *******. and NEVER hired them back. YAY !

It certainly doesn't help that Chrysler hasn't put out even a reasonably nice looking car in practically three decades. Their trucks sell, but that alone can't carry such a huge company that's packed full of automotive abominations.

I agree and it certainly doesn't help to continue work to develop decent products on a timely basis (not every 10 years) when your development funds/profits go elsewhere. Daimler and Fiat would probably agree.

The 300 series is very good. The Mini Van is good and the Challenger.

Trucks are trucks, and the Doge Ram looks good too.

So for looks who are you fooling.

Now if you are talking about electrical reliability... that is something else.

I wonder if the "dark side" isn't looming out there - liquidation.
Daimler is walking away from their 20% and will write off their loans to Chrysler - not a good sign.

the sales number should tell us something.

Chrysler has been making crap for years.

When Avenger first came out, I was like wow, thats epic failed right there, a piece of **** looking car with sub-par performance ...

The 40 hedge fund actually want Chrysler to go Chapter 7. Lets see how this goes.

Neon was the only gas saving car they had.

It was also somehow connected to the word "crap"

Seriously, when someone think of "gas saving car" , names like "Civics, Corollas, etc" will come up. but if u tell someone "Neon saves gas too!" they will tell you "what are you talking about, its crap"

Amazing how the White House and congress promised that bankruptcy wasn't an option, how the creditors would get screwed and "who is going to buy a car from a bankrupt company?"

Remember??

After Billions of dollars wasted now Obama is giving Chrysler to the UAW...more redistribution of wealth.

Did you guys get what you voted for?

Walmart or UAW?

You can't criticize both......

The UAW has enabled average workers to live the American Dream - buy a modest house and a car, and send the kids to college. What's wrong wit dat?

Walmart also comes in for intense criticism for the opposite - no union, minimum wage, everything produced abroad - entrenched poverty, the working poor, no benefits, no health care.

Please sort your baseless biases before you get all confused.

You can't fault the union shmuck for bolting crap together, they only bolt what gets designed for them, and that task is never done by anyone in a union.
Any more than you can crap on the cashier at Wallymart for selling imported 'shyte'.....

Some people will say that it was a waste of money.

Samething if GM goes bankrupt. Some people will say it was a waste of money.

If you ask me.. I don't think we should have bailed out AIG.

The Neon was actually a brilliant car, the power, interior, styling, handling, ride comfort were all outstanding -- when it came out in 1994. The problem was that the competition continued improving their products, while Chrysler basically just sat on its hands after that. In fact, I'd say they actually made it worse, when I compare the newer ones to the used '95 I owned in college.

I don't have problems with union workers, I have problems with union leadership.

Even still. it's the fact that the company is being taken from the hands of investors and creditors and given to union leaders. Those who are invested are getting less of their money back than the UAW is getting stake despite having a much larger investment.

Also what's upsetting is only a few months ago it was said time and time again that bankruptcy wasn't an option and we needed to act right away pumping billions of tax payer dollars into these companies. That's money that we won't back back.

Billions of taxpayer dollars down the drain, transferring ownership of a company from actual owners to workers...etc etc etc.

Nobody sees a problem with this?

Walmart has
- no benefits - Would you like to get a job ? If you want benefits, go get some higher education and get a better job. Not Cashier.
- minimum wage - There is McDonalds across the street, same pay, probably 10 times workload.
- everything produced abroad - entrenched poverty - IS that Walmart's fault? People wants cheap stuff. How is that gonna work? you HAVE to make them abroad which has much lower living standards than US. 10 dollars a day might sound like insance to Americans, but to "whatever country name here", that could be enough to feed the whole family for a month. So whats wrong with that ?
- no health care - The Health care system is all fucked up. we have to wait for a change ... plus for some reason I think that : Its your health so it should be your own responsibility, maybe thats just me. Cuz I pay for my own health insurance.

Remember this is called market freedom. Business is not here to make sure everyone gets a job --- business is here to make money. Is there a problem with that ?

People choose to work for Walmart knows what they're getting. At least those who has to work at Walmart are really working --- not just "if u fired me I sue your *** down"/"you had new machines there and you dont need me? too bad u cant fired me, you still have to pay me to SIT there"/"sure if you fired me, government will cover 1/2 my wage and you cover the other 1/2, which is same ****"

The fact is that UAW people dont do ****. They just sit there and they get paid. Think of it. including all pensions and crap they actually earn a lot more than a college graduate. Some earn 21 bux an hour to put bumpers on. come on! Most of them dont even have a high school diploma and they getting paid like 20-30-40 bux an hour (after all benfits and crap) just to put bumpers? fuxk outa here.

Plus, when they first said "UAW will get 55% of the company so when stock price goes back up they will be able to sell them to get money ... " I was like WHAT ? WOW ! w00t ! LOL ! ROFL !

Union's idea "was" good, but it has been abused so many times its not even funny. Its time to kill bs like UAW.

They shouldn't bail out ANY of them.

but if u want me to pick between Big 3 vs AIG. I take AIG.

Simple, Chrysler now goes bankrupt. Waste of money.

AIG, still alive, and if AIG was dead, a LOT of financial company would go kaa boom ! Goldman Sachs would be one of them.
