buying new car
I currentyl drive a mustang GT 5 speed which is modified. i am looking for a new car that can handle......going in a straight line is boring. i have two cars in mine, an rx8 grand touring and a 350z touring. i want to autox and drift a little. which car do you guys think is better? (please be honest even though this is a rx8 forum)

^^ What he said if you want to drift and have fun, but if it were to be a daily driver as well, Rx8 would be the better choice handling wise, more predictable, better feedback. Drive them and figure it out for yourself.

i test drove 2 350's.....one brand new one preowned with 11k miles and i felt powerloss with the one with ONLY 11k miles! so i started looking into rx8's and my friend who just traded his 350z in for an s2k said the rx8 was his 2nd choice and the car is crazy! he said u can bust sharp turns and not even feel it and the turning is great also i watched top gear and thats what they said too i never tested one i think i am just going to buy it tomorrow.....

If you're concerned about power, you're definitely going to want to drive the 8 before you buy it, because it's really weak on the lower end. However, handling-wise, it's incredibly predictable when sideways (in a parking lot, guys, hold the dogs) and if handled in the correct way, it'll carve like a scalpel. Only time to watch yourself with it is in the rain, it gets a bit anxious to step out if you're pushing it. Nothing but dream handling if you're not on top of it, though.

Bummed, but bring on OU!
The 8 will definitely be a better auto-x car than the Z. But you're really going to want to test drive it a couple of times. The power delivery couldn't be more different than a modified V8.
