Anyone here know someone that works at a Ford...

I know there is one person on here who does...

Anyone here know someone that works at a Ford service department? I took my truck in for extended warranty work which my 4L won't engage. Well the service guy tells me that there is a check in fee of $96 on top of my $100 deductible which goes towards labor for electrical work. I just never heard of paying a fee on warranty work besides the deductible.
My friend had this question frm LS2. Can anyone help?

Are they using te warranty that came with the car? Or is this an aftermarket warranty?

If they try to find it and there is nothing wrong then they could charge them, but if they are under the original manufacturers warranty it is all covered and there is no deductible it is all covered. If they dealer tries this I would complain to Ford and take it to another dealer.

Its an extended warranty that i bought at the dealership so i dont know whether to classify it as aftermarket or not. its to 75k with $100 deductible the best warranty that they offered

Typical Ford BS. My friend had a Ford Ranger back in the day, and had valve/piston ring issues at 12,000 miles. They tried to blame him, and say it was user caused.
