Any Hemi experts here?

so I'm sitting innocently at my desk and I have 2 little diecast cars on my monitor, one is a slammed pickup (Lexani Silverado, pretty nifty as the bed cover is actually on working struts) and the other is Jada Toys "Big Time Muscle" Hemi Cuda. The 'Cuda has "440 stickers all over it and this dude out of nowhere decided to lecture me on the fact that there never was a 440 hemi, can someone clarify? I looked on Ebay under "440 hemi" and there were a ton of user manuals, parts etc..looked on google but it all seemed a little confusing, there was six pack this and hemi that etc. I am a self proclaimed car-geek, but in no way shape or form am I any kind of engine expert. Even if someone could throw me abone to a forum or something I'd be most appreciative. Thanks.

The Hemi of that era was 426ci and had dual Carter 4bbl carbies. The 440 had a single Carter 4bbl and a six bbl triple Holley hi-po version was also available. This was known as a 440 Six Pack on the Dodge, and 440 6BBL on the Plymouth.

Yup, the old Hemis were 426 cid and something like a 392 cid from the 1950's. The 440 was a conventional wedge.

440 was wedge from the factory. Some drag racers would put hemi heads onto the 440's but they were usually bored and stroked to 500.
