It should be. It's bigger and has variable valve timing. It's called the L92, I think. Maybe they'll up the ante on the LS2(likely).

I like it. 403HP too. Escalade will remain king of the slab riding SUVs.

while the LS2 is down 3hp and 17 lb ft, I don't think they are worried about this new engine hurting the LS2 image at all. its not like they would take the ls2 out of the Vette and stick this one in.

overall, I like the exterior design better than the current model. I still can't believe they are using a column mounted shifter.....thats so 1970's.

I heard GM had a focus group of urban hip hop guru's and music stars help them with the final design of the car. Such things as rear mounted monitors in the headrests were discussed, appearently too many of the participants were worried that the rear glass would obstruct outsiders from viewing the monitors in proper pimp fashion, so GM actually changed the rear glass.

No if only Mazda would get all the hardcore enthusiasts together for that kinda input.
