I Bought my rx8 about a month ago and since then I've been trying to fix the minor issues that have been going on with it. The back story is I bought it and it was perfectly fine and after driving it for a week or so it's needed a new alternator so I replaced the alternator and then battery that I was using began to leak just a few days after this and I figured that's what I get for buying a cheap battery. I then went to auto zone and bought a brand new battery, the best they have and decided that should solve it. I drove it around and checked the engine about 4 days later and noticed the brand new battery I just bought was leaking battery acid. This alerted me to the fact that alternator is overcharging my battery for some reason so I checked my battery connections and they are clean and I took it back to auto zone to see if the guy would take a look at it. He looked at it and was astonished that a brand new battery was leaking battery acid how it was. He looked at my alternator connections and the "positive charge cable" that plugs into the alternator was burned through the wire insulation and was very very corroded. He said that is probably your problem and since then I've been looking hard for replacement plug-in and have been unsuccessful. I want to avoid going to a dealer or repair shop if possible, I just need to figure out what this cable exactly is so I can replace it. Can anyone help me with this? I'll attach some pictures for reference.

Make one... or go to an autoparts store and get a generic cable that is long enough. The fuse box end may take a bit of fiddling as its a thin connector. You might need a longer fastener
