My wifes beloved 2005 RX8 Hi caught fire beneath the car at 50.000kms on the clock. Ford told me that it was due to me not servicing the car every 10,000kms OR 12 months as they recommend. In fact the car was serviced every 10,000kms but as my wife only drives +- 7,000 Kms a year, this was enough reason for Ford towash their hands of the LIFE THREATENING FAILURE. Thank the Lord I was driving when it caught fire and not my wife with our Grandchildren. I wonder if anyone else has had a similar experience, starting with the center consul getting very hot and ends with the cat' converter bursting into flames? Ford seem to need some burnt bodies before doing anything!!

I've only just become a member here. I've only had my RX8 for 5 years ,hope to keep it in showroom condition for classic status in 15+ years time.
