Yeah, RX8 is not so popular in Taiwan.....Lack of promotion by Mazda Taiwan.....ppl in Taiwan still have the bad image of rotary problem from RX7 and lack of service knowledge by Mazda Taiwan (trust me, they don't know s#*t about servicing and repairing RX8) ........ If only Mazda Taiwan can improve the service like Lexus, I'm sure the sales of RX8 will increase.

If u'r saying that they don't know about the servicing then i suggest they close shop....it's easy to do service for our 8...every workshop will do.

there are quite a few club meets around socal LA. i've been going to the malibu cruise, which is on hiatus until june, and the san bernardino meet which meets the 2nd saturday of each month. the meeting locations are slightly outside the city- mainly so that the group can go on scenic drives together. all the people have been nice and friendly. here are some of the links for your reference:

Another Red 8
Ya....I'm another eight in Taipei. Originally from the states, CA Placentia...Anteater UCI, but been back in Taiwan for about 8 years now. There's only around 100 8s sold in Taiwan and Mazda doesn't know jack on servicing our cars. So I think I should got the 350Z. But what the since you spend US$52K for the car, might as well keep if for a while.
There's not much parts you can get here. So you gotta either find trading companies, ship yourself, or have big retailers import it for you....which u will pay through the nose for it. Thinking of doing my own import export car parts here...could make a fortune...but no funds yet to start.
Well anyways, I have the only Autobahn kit in Taiwan....had to import it myself with the help of Yamada San and his friend at Autobahn JP. Have a Trust Exhaust coming in soon. So maybe will take some pics. Also have the Mint Blue wing which I got off Yahoo TW....and some other small parts from JP.
There's a 8 club in Taipei...but not interested since they don't do jack. Everyone's car looks the same...so I never go to the meets.
that's about it. If I have new pcs I'll post them

i was in taipei this week and saw 2 RX-8's
saw a sunlight silver parked under 新生南路 高架橋 parking lot.
saw a winning blue parked on 民生東路 facing west in 民生社區.
anyone here?
