I'm interested in purchasing an Automatic Grey RX-8 in the very near future. However, I'm quite confused about the options that are available with the normal and type E version of the RX-8.
Correct me if I'm wrong but the normal version of the RX8 has exactly the same HP and engine specs as the type E but the only difference is that the Type E comes with power seats, factory leather, LSD, DSC and the Bose ICE. The type E also gives you the option of getting a moonroof which is not available on the normal version.
I'm probably going to get the normal version because of costs constraints but would like to get the Start Button option,fog lights and leather. Any idea how much this would cost?
Could you guys also recommend some PI's that are very customer orientated and have good service garages? Also how much bargaining can you get with local PI's? I can't seem to get anything more than $1000 off the quoted price of the car. So far I have contacted Vin Car, EZ-Import and Garage R. It seems to me Garage R knows what they are talking about but their pricing is not as competitive as the rest. I was hoping that you guys could share with me your buying experience in Singapore as this would be my first time buying a vehicle in Singapore.

I'm looking at type E mainly for the LSD and DSC. Can any bros here comment if these 2 functions is worth the extra $$$???
if the difference is not so much, than i will prob save on the extra money from buying a basic version and spend them on the mods and accessories i really want to make my 8 hot!
First of all bros, luk ard. There are many answers to your questions floating around especially in this section. Most of them are threads started months ago. If u have the time browse thru the whole Far East thread.
Vagus, it depends on how you like to drive the 8. But personally, i would like all my cars to have LSD/DSC/ABS etc etc. Options are aplenty here. There are many places for u to order accessories and stuff with some of them already being mentioned by jaskin.
Some others include: YAP Brothers, Mcwell, Option all located at Paya Ubi. They handle direct import sales too. Look around or my best suggestion is come for the next meet-up and we will try to answer all your questions then....:P
Thanks for the offer, will join you guys for meetup in a few months time coz i will be out of action for the next couple of months (going back army for conversion course....reason for holding back my RX8 purchase). But rest assured when i come out i'll be bugging everyone of you again!! hehe:D
