between 32 to 38 pounds per square inch
really depends on what type of road conditions you are in and what type of ride setup you want

I may be wrong though

As for the gadget, I would label it as an extra.

it should be ard the range of S$300 plus minus.
if some of us is interested, we can arrange for a group buy
of course the more ppl the lower the price we can get

Have you seen this

http://cgi.ebay.com/PressureTrack-Su...QQcmdZViewItem

or this

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Wirel...spagenameZWDVW

extra, but essential under some conditions (like no spare and no TPMS in aftermarket wheels)

Of course....

For sure its an essential ... along with side skirts, vented bonnets, air-intakes, strakes and F1 lights. What are "extras" are petrol, driving skill and sex.

These two TPMS devices seem to have external sensors that screw on to the valve stem on each wheel. Advantage is easily transferable. Disadvantage is easily removable (read: stolen).

There are many different models of TPMS around on the market, so if you are interested to install one, take the time to find one that you really like. Personally, I don't particularly like the model shown in this thread unless the display is defaulted OFF until you press a button or unless any tire falls below a predetermined pressure or goes above a predetermined temperature. Else it would just be a distraction.

Definitely good to have if out on track as it can give additional info while comparing lap times.
But as a daily drive, may get paranoid and top up more frequently if the reading is not consistent. Also it does not mention any requirement for calibration. Not sure if it will still be accurate after the heat from the rims.

They talk about suppling sensor locks (nuts) with the unit. Not sure how that would work, but could solve that problem. Plus they say you can buy just the sensors. I think the tire temp part is prop not so accurate for the tire, rather it's the air temp or rim temp, not the rubber temp so much. But definitely better than nothing, just not what the real race teams use that is an infrared temp sensor in the wheel well.

found that Stamford Tyres is the distributor for many countries except Singapore (this is listed in the product website). tried to call Stamford but nobody pickup calls.

after much deliberating, i myself would label this as extra gadget and nice to have. additional meter in the "cockpit" to makes it look complicated.

a few hundred more such meter and switches and my "cockpit" will become a real one. lolx

dude, stamford singapore carries '3rd eye' only, available at macpherson and changi only. I was there last night after collecting car from MM. retailing at 400+ (think 420+ if I remember correctly) including installation.

3rd eye:
