Trying to Find Previous owners
Recently buying the RX8 I am looking to track down the previous 4 owners. I don't need the 5th guy that I bought it from. as he only had the car for 3 months.
The 2004 car initially had a private plate S1RXN.
It would be good to tie reasons to the MOT history mileage.

His IP address comes back as Sheffield, England. Which is likely his IP provider's location, and close enough to Dumfries to make sense.
Mythago - this is kind of a long shot. I assume you've already grilled #5 for what he knows.
Posting in the European forum, with more info (year, color, auto/manual) might shorten them a bit. I can copy your post over there - just let me know, and add some details.

You're all correct. I am not in the States but Scotland, Dumfries is South of Glasgow and Sheffield if the IP as that is where I work during the week.
There was a bit of a language barrier from #5 and I wasn't aware there was a seperate Euro forum. I will gather what info I have to get the post in this other forum later this evening.

Those cars are pretty solid, except for the engine.
If the compression is ok and the catalytic converter isn't gutted you're good to go. Replacing coils shouldn't be much of an issue.
Then again keep in mind that a proper engine rebuild costs more than the car itself nowadays, be really careful when purchasing.
