My colour changes are famous across the land and indeed Planet... Who would have believed it?!

Excellent pictures at last and about time too but amazingly they've vindicated my decision. I really do prefer the Titanium because whilst the blue really is beautiful it's just too light for my taste. My dad had a Ford Capri in the early 80's that was a very similar colour and I didn't like that so I doubt I'd like an RX-8 in blue. If it was just a bit darker then I'd be there but I guess I have to go AWOL. Anyway, the deed is done, Mazda have changed my order (probably!). I fully anticipate going "WOW!" at some point in the future when a blue RX-8 passes me though.

Possibly like the red it's only too light indoors. Have you seen the blue on other Mazda cars, it's actually very nice and would have been my choice if I did not have to wait.

I followed a blue MX-5 this very morning and it doesn't sway my opinion. Winning Blue IS nice, no question, it's just not the blue for me. I've seen many images of the blue and they ALL appear to be the same sort of shade even in daylight. Compare this with the show car above:

. It's quite light. Still nice, but light. It's not as deep as the 'Daytona Blue' on the 350Z and that's the colour I initially thought it was. I'm very happy with my change to Titanium and initially Titanium WAS my primary choice so I've just gone back to it. Colours, like music and beauty, are totally subjective things. It's all about what appeals to the beholder and there's no 'best'.

Just thought of this... It has niggled me before but thought I would share it (given that there is nothing else going on).

Does anyone else think the back of the front-seats look a bit...well....crap. ?

They look like solid plastic that will get scratched with people clambering in and out etc. Why are they not trimmed like the rest of the seats ? Cannot be because of the support offered - my current (recaro) seats offer oodles of support and they are trimmed all round.

Thoughts ?
Has anyone else noticed ?

M.

I thought I read somewhere that they have been specialy designed to give the same support but allow more room for the back. I actually think they look okay if not different.

Apparently the silver is painted on. I've seen one image of a show car (don't ask me to find it... its on this forum somewhere) that shows scratches-a-mundo! I DO think it adds to the interior though. It brightens up the darkness.
