supremely spanked the wankel

so we had a drift event at the local track....it was fun to give this little beast a nice wankel spankin'
holy under-steer though.... i ran my bone stock 8, we didnt keep times, it was more for fun and to see the turnout.

$50 bucks + a helmet gets you on the course, it was a flat paved area with cones set up to drift around....no walls! woo woo, cause i did spin it aut like twice.

it was my first attempt to drift legally...i had a blast, and feel deeper in love with my 8

the point of this thread i suppose is to encourage other 8 owners to make a presence at the next event and any knowledge of modifications to make my 8 more drifter friendly would be great... wheel/tire suggestions are welcomed, i've seen a few members with beefy sway/stabilizer bars up front...

This is a subforum where members make suggestions to Internet Brands about improvements to the forum structure. Moved to Drifting.

If you are having under-steer problems it usually means you aren't shifting your weight to the front or at least not enough. So you need to either brake before entering the corner or let off on the throttle.

To reduce understeer, you get a stiffer rear sway bar.

so if you're planning to drift exclusively should you only get a rear not a front?

You can get both sway bars. Drifting is really driver technique. Better suspension, more power just makes things easier less work drifting

So, as stated before, the most important mod is the driver?
