This is fantastic! I used to live 30 minutes from DG and it was my playground year round for 5 years. Now that I live in Michigan (Detroit area) I get excited everytime I see a slight curve in the road. This is just what I need.

I checked the link and didn't see any info where everyone was staying. Are we trying to get in the campground at the NC border? I have relatives local to there but would rather hang with the big group.

Post up if you plan to go. Anyone wanting to meet up along the way and caraven down is more than welcome.

I'm in for sure. Now I just need to work on this suspension during the winter.

PhreakdOut,

First of all.. sorry for the delayed response.. I been quite busy lately..

Most likely we'll be staying at the Fontana Village. I'll get the rate locked in in next month or two.

Regarding caravan, there will be one organized in Columbus, OH (possibly at RX7store.net).

As time gets near, I'll post all the info on here and also on other rotary sites (best place will be on www.dgrr.net).

We have a slightly problem... I been trying to reach someone at Fontana Village and finally today I found out that Group Sales manager, John have left Fontana and our date have been taken by Honda S2000 guys. Some how they managed to reserve over 80% of hotels and cabins until March 11th. Because of this, we would either pick a different date or stay somewhere else.

Please goto this link and VOTE what we should do.

I need to make a decision ASAP... Hopefully by end of this week.

Sorry for this mishap..

PHILIP SOHN
Organizer...
FYI: For any of you who haven't received this email.

The options are:

1) April 6th - 8th 2007 (Easter Weekend)

2) April 20th - 22nd

I haven't registered on the RX-7 website so I could vote. (Seems like the wrong thing to do.) Personally, I'd want to avoid Easter so we could have a good turnout.

Hey Guys,

I just came across this post, and this looks like too much fun to pass up. I have spent the last 2 hours watching the videos and researching about this drive and I want to know a little more information. It looks like a RX-7 thing, would the 8’s be welcome?? keep posting up to date information, and i am going to start planing this out.

8's are definately welcome. This is intended for all rotaries. I've been planning my mods around going on this trip. So I'll be there for sure.

I'm not sure if any of you guys have followed the latest links to DGRR.net, but the date should be set for the weekend of 4/20.

I believe they have a huge block of rooms and cabins saved for this event. If anyone is interested in going the full cabin route, I'd be glad to take a share in the costs. It would turn out to be better facilities for nearly the same cost.

I'm planning to drive down Thursday evening and stay that evening with some relatives 30 minutes from the meet. Friday I will be cleaning up the car and enjoying some back routes through the Smoky Mountains.

I'm open for hookin' up on that Friday during the day. (Can you tell I can't wait for this?)
Just let me know or post up if you're interested.
