Bought this RX8 as a project car on the first day of summer with 147K on the clock. I have been working tirelessly on this car nursing it back to health and finished with it about a month ago. I'd love to keep It, but want to start working on a RX7 and don't have the space for two fun cars. Will consider a partial trade for almost any RX7 FD3S bonus points for JDM with sunroof and spoiler, doesn't have to be running or have a drive train. Will also consider a MX5 or 180SX/S13/S15 winter beater. Feel free to ask me any question about it.
Mechanical upgrades and maintenance
-New spark plugs, coils and plug wires.
-Oil switched 1K ago to Shell 5W30ns with a new filter
-New cat and O2 sensor was installed by previous owner before last winter
-Upgraded starter (1.4Kw ->1.7Kw)
-New EXEDY racing clutch
-New transmission with 40K on it (Message for details yes I still have the invoice and old transmission if you want to see it)
-Transmission is running Redline MT90 GL4 Oil.
-OBX 3" race exhaust (has baffle welded in, the car screams to life at 4.5K - does not sound like a civic)
-K&N CAI
-Stage 1 tune to compensate for CAI and cat back, also moved redline up 1000RPM.
-New Alternator and MotoMaster Eliminator Ultra AGM battery (3 and 5 year warranty)
- HKS Ignition Booster.
-2 new tires, the other two are half worn (Nexen performance summer/rain tires N3000 225/40/R18)
Suspension and brakes
-Lowered 1.5" on stiffened springs, the car feels great on them, almost no body roll.
-Wheel bearings have been serviced
-Brake pads have 75% life.
-New front drilled and slotted rotors by previous owner.
-Parking brake cable was replaced by previous owner
-Brake fluid flush and full system bleed
- New lower steering U-joint
Cosmetic upgrades
-Car was professionally polished 2 weeks ago
-Car was repainted at some point, I can point out the signs for you.
-NO RUST!
-MazdaSpeed rear bumper
-Rear spoiler
-Professionally tinted rear windows and sun roof (last owner)
-Professionally painted OE alloy rims

The car runs great and rides great and has no signs what so ever of a low compression engine... Runs smooth and shifts smooth as well. Starts cold and HOT just fine, hardly any difference, The car has been really well taken care of, but may have a new engine just from how well it runs. I can take driving videos if wanted. Under-body photos are to come, I'm going to touch up the undercoat this weekend or next.
Pretty much everything in this car has been fixed except for the heated seats switches and there is a fault in the seat airbag on the passenger side.
