Would you trader your leather interior for this leather interior?
So im in toronto and i might buy this RX8 in the states. THe reasons why im buying in the states are I want a black car with Red/black interior and no headlight washers. One problem is that the car im considering has beige leather interior. I really wanted to find a black car with red/black interrior but it was very hard because i wanted navi and all that. So with that being said, DO YOU THINK PEOPLE HERE WILL BE WILLING TO TRADE THEIR RED/BLACK INTERIOR FOR MY BEIGE INTERIOR ?
Im asking because i know only the red 8s have the red/black interior here (correct me if im wrong) and im a little concerned people will not want beige with their Red 8s cause it might look odd. This is probably the deciding factor to as whether i buy this car or not so opinions please.

I would personally never get rid of my red/black interior. But wouldn't it be better for you to buy a black Canadian car w/ navi, pull the fuse to the headlight washers, and then try and find a red/black leather interior at a wrecker? It might be a tough find, but it would be less hassle than trying to import a car.

Wouldn't trading the interior and everything be a huge hassle? I can't imagine it being easy to find someone who'd want to go through the trouble of switching everything just so that they could get a beige interior in their car. And don't the red/black interiors only come with VR? I don't think VR would look good with beige interior, but that's just my opinion

all that hassle just for no headlight washers?
in the u.s., we are jealous we don't even get that as an option!
but, seriously-speaking, when i ordered my car back in 2005, it was nearly impossible to find a black exterior GT with black/ red interior plus a navi... i searched far and wide, and finally mazda told me to just put an order for one.
as far as trading interiors, it's a lot of work- because it includes seats, steering wheel, door panels etc. i honestly don't think anyone would trade- unless they were converting a GT into a track car. but, if they were doing that, they would be smarter to just sell the GT and get a lighter car.
either way, it's a lot of work...

I did find a 2007 gt with red black interior its EXACTLY how i want my car. Its got navi and its fully loaded. Problem is its in cali and way too far and too much to ship =(. So ive come to a conclusion that finding a black gt with red balck interior and navi and being a 2007 and being close to toronto is nearly impossible. I found some 2006 but its far and too many miles. i guess ill buy the 8 with navi and all that and see what if anyone will change interior. Beige isnt THAT bad i gues . i just really wanted the red.black interior =(

hmm, u could take a road trip and drive it cross country back to toronto... (lotta driving tho.) summer is near and the weather should be decent. sometimes, it's nice getting what u wanted. otherwise, you'll always be wishing you got the other one...
i always wanted a yellow 8, and that's been my sore spot too...

Naw its too much of a hassle. I'd rather get one with diff colour interior then. Change it to red and black ... Which is why I created this thread. If I do get a different interior I guess ill have to live with it if no one wants to trade but I'm sure there's gna be at least someone who will be willing to trade

Have you considered just getting a paint job on the car? like buy a VR with navi and what not, and just repaint the exterior...it'll probably be cheaper than to switch the interiors and everything
