water leaking into the tail light

Any ideas on what is causing this and would I have to get the whole light replaced? Also any ideas on what it would cost me? Thanks.

Also please read post #4 and let me know if you have any ideas on what is wrong?

Im a little drunk right now....can't wait for mazdaspped north so i decided to drink to make the time go faster. lol. anyways, it makes me a ncie person. read through the link i posted. its a TSB. print it off. bring it to your local mazda dealer and order the approriate part numbers. This will not be free unless you are under warranty, but it shouldn't be too expensive anyways....somewhere south of 50 bucks i think. Then, remove the tail light from the car, blow compressed air into it for a few minutes to get rid of the remaining moisture. then reinstall with the new pad/gasket that you have ordered and you will be set. and yeah, dont drill holes at all

oh and also, search next time. chances are someone else has had and fixed whatever problems you have.

Okay thanks. Also, one more thing i was driving my car for a good hour on the highway and when i got off and tried to make a left turn the car wouldn't shift past the first gear no matter how much gas i gave it, so it wouldn't go pass like 15km/h. Then when i parked the car it started shaking a little and just turned off. My car is an automatic. A mechanic told me that your going to have to replace the transmission, but I wanted to find out if anyone knew anything on this. Thanks.

that sounds weird. i'll be honest, i dont really know anything auto related as far as rx8s go. but i definitly think you should take it to a dealer to check it out. dont just trust any mechanic on this...
