There is only one 8 near me that actually waves back. I have tried to talk to some guys but they are like duh okay. I can't wait till the generic drivers trade the 8s in and we can get some real brotherhood or sisterhood on the roads like the sevens have.
So sum of the story, wave bigger if they don't wave back! If they look at us like we are crazy, well we probably are

Rageboy... you are 100% accurate. I find any 8 I have waved to, they wave back, I even get people trying to keep up with me to tell me they like the car.
Him (Eldon) and I are trying to plan a Stanley Park picture day, either August 19/20th, or 2nd weekend of September, we will be making a thread regarding this, but thought I would pass it out so people have a little bit of forwarning.

just to sway off topic a bit.. i was jsut wondering where you guys gals et your 8 serviced.. im looking for a place that would update my ECU to the current flash whatever that is?
i use to go to Westcoast Mazda since i bought the car off them.. and have no complaints.. but it seems that they are never upto date on recalls and "TSBs" or ECU flashes..from what i have read on this forum i do believe i am due for a 'flash'.
thanks
Sarim
back on topic.. im normally in Burnaby.. i rarely see peeps even look at my car...mostly young asians drive the 8 in my area... i have yet to see any brown person drive this car.. i feel special .. haahh.. anyways....
ill soon have the TSW volcanos installed on my car.. .. easier to spot me and dont be shy to wave back!!.. :p

I don't know about you people, but I rarely look around at other drivers while i'm driving.. I'm either scanning for cops or tracking the movenent of cars next to, in front and behind me.

so in a sense i scan for cops, other cars, and other 8's I rarely see any 8's so it's not a big deal.. i'm more interested in making sure the moron next to me doesn't hit me (happens at least twice a week )

If other RX8 drivers waved at me, i would have waved back for sure...
I was once going on AlexFraser Bridge and a Blue RX8 "zoomed" by and then slow down... we went at the same speed for awhile and smiled at each other.
And I usually did hazard signals if I see other RX8 drivers ( if they saw me too)
So see guys out there =)
Im the black RX8 with "www.vcmc.ca" sticker on the windshield.

all the dealers get the TSB info at the same time..
theyre all linked to the same Mazda Canada system..
so basically anywhere you go should be the same.. and i sure hope you are not comparing the TSB info availability rate with US dealers because Mazda USA gets all their TSB stuff 2-3 weeks earlier than Mazda Canada.
Hope this helps

Well, I go to signature in Richmond, and they inform me if there are any TSBs required, as well if there is a new ECU flash they are going to add. Last time I had maintenance, I was having some bad break squeal. and recently, there was a TSB regarding the front breaks, they told me there is now one for the rear breaks, and they changed them. So, effectively, 2 years with the car, and new breaks all around. That is just my experience with them, others may have good or bad experiences from same or other dealers.
