I don't know man NX04, your track record ain't that good with showing up to things, at least not the events in Markham/Richmond Hill. So far, you've been a no show for 2 events that you said explicitly that you were coming...

Yes, I'm calling you out man.

You have NOT had real sushi if you have not been to Katsura, Japango, Mikado...where is actually owned and operated by Japanese and the size of each sushi roll is the same size....

However, there is a couple in Richmond Hill which is not bad...The one on Pearce St & Lesile is good...

^ I don't disagree man, but that's out of context now isn't it? NX04 is trying to setup sushi in GTA area, not a sushi meet in Japan

On the same note, I wonder if people in China/Japan are like, "You've never had a real hamburger/hotdog until you've been to <insert famous hamburger place> in Toronto"

Or some form of this for "white ghost" food.

I guess...but some so-call 'sushi' places I've been to are pretty crappy...they might as well serve you the seaweed, the rice and the fish separately rather then calling it sushi...

Just my 2cents..I'm just picky when it comes to sushi/chinese food, just like a white man is picky about his cheese and bread....

Rick,

Seems like you're the resident sushi expert. I get the impression that the way you have your sushi is like the way I detail my car. What's a good recommendation in richmond hill/Markham with a good balance of quality/price?

Sushi meet is a great idea!

I"m in for a sushi meet, depending on the date =D I've been to a few good ones but nothing too spectacular. So i'm definitely all ears for a good suggestion, would love to try out some new places with 'real' sushi.

Actually... the best sushi in the GTA is here http://www.sushikaji.com/top.html

no arguements.

unfortunately it's also one of the most expensive.
