Just wanted to say Hi, after reading this forum for weeks, I finally ordered a 2005 RX8 in RED with Red leather. I got it at Avante Mazda. I'm planning to add a few mods to the car (braces and bars). Where is there a good shop to bring my car to? I was searching and there is shop in the east end called Mazdees. Anyone know them?
Is there a club in Toronto with group buys and meets?

If you want work done on your 8 I would recommend Mazdee's.
They are one of the few reputable shops in the GTA.
I've been using them for years now. I had an Rx-7 before and if I want stuff done on the 8 it's going there. If you have any questions, let me know.
Welcome, I just joined a week or so ago and am learning a lot. Mine is 04 velocity red GT 6MT w rear spoiler moonroof, also from Avante Mazda (north york). Any difference w your 05?
welcome to the cult. I also have an 04 VR with a spoiler. Im loving it, as far as shops go, try mazdees, but if its only braces and bars, its a pretty easy do it your self, im sure in the spring we can get a club install thing going!
I'm going for the bars as well. By the spring, I am hoping our toronto RX* club will be up with members. We'll try to get a group buy/install going on at that time for sure and it won't be limited to just bars and the like!
As was mentioned there are meets set up here, so keep an eye out. Avante, yup their good people, got mine from them as well. 04 T-Grey. As for clubs, there's one coming, keep an eye out for a thread about it. For mods, you gotta swim the threads, there's invaulable knowledge on what people are doing and who's doing the best kind of work.

The sales guys was saying there is this door protector thing I should get, just in case I close the front door b4 I close the rear door. Therefore protecting the front door from getting dent. Is this neccessary?
Oh, I just found out my mom will be going to Hong Kong this month for christmas. I'm planning to ask her to send me some RX stuff back. Anyone have any suggestion what I should get?

One, door protector...nay. As for them toys, not much on HK, I have buds there that looked for me and came up short, but that was a few months ago, perhaps things have changed. I hoping that my wife's friend who went to Japan grabed me them clear side markers .
Suggestions...there are many threads that talk about them. Check out the Japan sites, there's more things there than you can get in NA. Canzoomer.com has been doing a good job at making people here happy to what I know.

I'm not surprised. More and more I'm hearing people discontent with e-bay. Too bad. I'll keep my eyes open anyway, but I'm not sure if there will be any others, especially in leather.
