I'm sure I'll get bashed for not posting in the right section.
I'm taking delivery of an 06' RX8 with 55000 kms on Friday. So far I love the car and believe it will be a worthy successor to my 05' Focus ST, which was the most amazing car I had ever owned, she was tragically lost in a rear end collision last week.
I look forward to learning more about the new world I'm in and interested to converse with you all.
Later everyone!

I actually didn't like the colours when I first looked at it, but they grew on me a lot in the moments that followed. I've never seen another one in my part of the world like it, I really enjoy uniqueness in a world of a million Civics.
Welcome. I think that is the first time I ever heard the words Focus and amazing in the same sentence together. If you thought the Focus was amazing then be prepared to be blown away by the 8.
Very nice choice!! That color is my number 2 choice
Shinka edition is a slightly upgraded RX8. Nothing to do with the engine, but it comes with upgraded suspension, cream colored seats, Shinka badges and other little nic-nacs.
Halifax, eh? I love that city! Welcome to the club, read the FAQ's and the 'stickies' in each sub-forum, and learn much about this wonderful ride you've purchased!
Also, read this thread and this one
Welcome to the fun!
I completely understand why Focus and awesome don't come together often, I'm still a little sentimental, but the ST Focus had the 2.3 Duratec and really cooked for a little FWD. Will it hold a candle to my RX8? Only in my heart I'm afraid.
Thanks for all the compliments, really makes me feel great about the purchase.
I can't believe the road feel of this car, blows me away. When people ask me what it's like to drive, I tell them, "take a bumblebee, make it the size of a horse, throw a saddle on it and get on."
Welcome to the RX-8 club, and the even more exclusive Nova Scotian RX-8 owner club.
I remember seeing that car on the lot. When I pass through Sackville I'll usually do a bit of lot-shopping. Looks like a nice choice, and glad you are happy with it.
Hope you continue to enjoy it, and maybe we'll see you out and around.
As an aside, not sure you are into buying toys for your new car already, but, my little local rotary group (half a dozen of us) are working on a Racing Beat group buy in the next few weeks. Drop me a PM if you are interested.

Welcome, I sold my boat to a man in Nova Scotia. I loved that boat. Wave to her as you pass a marina.

Great name. Welcome aboard. Read the stickies. Makes sure to check your oil, never shut it off when completely cold (or rev the engine to about 3.5rpm floor it and shut of if not properly warmed up) and enjoy the ar.
