Maintenance Advice - 04 6spd GT
Hi All,
I just went over 100k on the car, I only bought it earlier this year with just over 92k on it and from the looks of things not much has been done as far as maintenance.
I'm getting some hesitation and idle irregularity's at idle so I'm hoping this will help. The coils/plug wires still look like they are originals.....yikes.....
What should I look at changing? Here is my list so far and location to purchase, please feel free to add:
-Coils $28US each here http://www.buyourmazdaparts.com/inde...t_detail&p=815
-Wires $51 at http://www.mazdatrix.com/getprice.as...num=10-800-RED or $57 at http://www.buyourmazdaparts.com/inde...t_detail&p=945
-Plugs $20 each http://www.fluidmotorsports.com/p-95...ccesories.aspx
-Tranny and rear diff fluid?
I would imagine the stock clutch is still in the car, how long have they been known to last?
Anything else I should do while I'm at it?
Thanks!
Jay
P.S. Turbo is not on the car yet, this small thing called a wedding is getting in the way but after that I will move forward with that plan, right now just need to get the car to last

I'm at the other end of the spectrum as I have a 2004 RX8 with only 37,000km on it.
Check with your local dealer as to what the schedule calls for when your at 100,000km.
However, it is recommended you change out the spark plugs more often than a piston engine car, every 37K miles or 60K kilometers. Filters should be cleaned every 6 months, replaced every 2 years (at the most).
Welcome to the addiction !

All the fluids; brake, coolant, diff, tranny...
Cabin air filter, fuel filter, air filter.
Brake pads? Have to look at the condition of them. Probably the second set of summer tires so have a look at them too.
