That's right ...I went to the dealership to pick up a used RX8GT in TS , but I was denied a loan by the bank since my credit is a bit too new . I've only had my credit card for 1 1/2 yrs with great payments , however it's not good enough for the banks . To say the least I was devastated to hear I wasn't approved since I've been dreaming of this car for a few yrs now .


I need a co-signer and I'm willing to pay anyone who steps up $1000.00 cash and a friend for life

I'm not out to screw anyone , the car WILL be paid . If I'm throwing a grand out to get someone to co-sign ...obviously I intend to and can afford this car . Banks are the only thing in my way .

I'm in Canada , so I'm assuming you must be a Canadian residing .

Maybe we are being a bit hard on the little guy. I mean he does have eight posts before all of this started (yes, I am counting the other 3 versions of this thread that I have seen).

Anyway, I did try to help the little brother out and all I got was sarcasm for my effort.

He just wants to drive a new Rx-8. How can you blame him? Can’t you overlook the fact that he wants you to be held legally and contractually responsible for him? I mean it’s really not a big deal; you can always rebuild your credit. After all it’s an easy $1k in your pocket.

I’ve read some comments about the Nigerian banking scam, this is nothing like that. This is only 30 or 40k that you will be responsible for and after all, you will get $1k. I mean, he does promise to pay for it. Why can’t you people take him at his word?

And those of you who speak of sex, I’m disappointed. How can you think it’s okay to want poontabbing for $1k? Come on, you know you can get poontabbing for like $5 behind the 7-Eleven on Dante Street.

I was in a similar situation -- I just got out of college just got a good job and just starting having/using credit cards. So my credit was non-existant, (not bad, I just didn't have any which is the same as being bad)


The only way I got the car was by saving up and putting $10,000 down on my car. Yeah it was a helluva lot, and they told me thats the only reason they let me actually buy it because it was a sign of my seriousness to do business.

Mazda credit rate sucked so i refinanced with my own bank a few months later... I'm still at a semi-crappy interest rate 11% but its a lot better then what I was pegged at.

Either way I plan to have it paid off within the next 6 months.

 

But at the end of the day, we have 8's you dont

 

Holy crap. That's insane. I got a credit card during college just for that reason. Everyone talks about the evils of getting a credit card when young, but no one talks about how much it sucks to start your life after college without ANY credit. If you're responsible and pay off your balance every month, I say the earlier you can get one the better. Of course, new credit is better than bad credit so I guess it can be bad either way.
