Nope. And if you really lost to a 94' Camry then we hereby revoke your RX-8 member card

the wires are used in high end cars. they have a website....anyway PS any stock rx8 will get whooped by any v6 honda, toyota, and maybe some cars with no motor rolling downhill uncontrollably..lol
unless of course you have an thesaurus of mods like you do...

theres not a thing in his sig that relates to any power gains, most people will be lucky to ever make more than 20WHP over stock without forced induction

I will look the wires up. Define whooped please because apparently it means something different to you than it does to me. I would love to compare lap times of a FWD V6 Accord or Camry to a stock RX-8

Oh, you must mean drag racing. :duh:

Possibly a late model V-6 Accord or Camry could beat an RX-8 in a drag race but it would be very, very close and totally dependent upon driver skill (as is all racing).

A 2010 V-6 (268HP/248ft/lbs of TQ) Camry does 0-60 in 6.2 seconds. a 2010 RX-8 R3 does it in 6.0 seconds so they are very similar in terms of straight line speed. But I would shoot myself if I had to drive a Camry on a daily basis.

Now what started this conversation off is your sig that specifically states a 1994 model V-6 Camry, which comes with the 3.0L 1MZ-FE V6 engine with 200 hp at 5,200 rpm , and 214 lb·ft of torque at 4,400 rpm. That specific model takes almost 7.5 seconds to get to 60MPH.

The only "power mod" I have is the midpipe, other than that, the rest of my mods just improve (in my opinion) an already great car. Now if we start talking reliability then I won't argue there, the Camry and Accord are great historically in that regard.

thats deep, however at the end of the day 90 percent of rx8 owners are not track racers on a regular basis, so using the age old " if we threw in a few turns" deals is lame cause no matter how u slice it our cars are slow as ****, they handle well but not that good, i mean i dont wanna hurt anyones ego but there are alot of cars that are as good or better, within our price range on the track as well. the rx8 is just simply put a great driving experience//imofrom light to light alot of **** on the road requires us to drive the ***** of our 8s to pass or keep up....

90 percent are not but that applies to very make and model of sports car. I have seen stock Miata's rape Porsche GT3's at the track and everything in between. You obviously don't track so the argument is lame I never have to drive the ***** out of my car to pass.

You should replace them about every 30,000 miles. Or less.

am i nuts or do rx8 owners "overdue" the servicing

i mean honestly, do we just wanna believe they are as high maintainance as this or is it just great coffee chat to be able to say she has to be babied, new wires every 50k, new plugs every week, i love it but who builds a car that needs this much attention?

its like a ferrari, my buddy has one and he loves to tell me how she doesnt like the rain, needs s nice rub once in a while...i am like come on man its a car not a violin...anyway just thought i would post this....i am a little disillusioned...help

do you like your car? how many km do you do a yr? i do around 50 000km without winter driving i replace coils plugs wires tires and 2 sets of brake pads every season. i assure you i dont do this because im bored and feel like over maintaining my car.

my car is faster than 95% of cars i pass on the hwy. i feel some people on this site think 14.5-15.5 1/4 is huge, while most couldn't feel the difference.

to say the rx8 is slow as **** and gets beat by everything including vans is complete bullshit.

If you call babying it redlining on the way to and from work in 100f weather through traffic, running canyons, tracking, and the yearly autox then yeah I baby my car.

I'll take you up on that. 90% of RX-8 owners don't track their 8s. So 10% of them do.

If you could hazard a guess at how many Camry owners track their Camrys, what percentage would you say? And how many zeros are after the leading decimal point before you get to non-zero digits?

IF you don't want to fight that way, then do it this way:

I have an open invitation offering a ride to anyone who thinks that the RX-8 is slow, to see if you can hold onto that belief after a single ride.

Even if you are already an 8 owner, that challenge is still there.

point is i wasnt comparing track numbers...i meant daily driving which is what most people do..ie..work, commuting, groceries, cruising...if you sit at a light and look over at a tool driving his accord or camry....he punches it he is history. if you wanna pull your pud and make believe that rx8 is a fast day to day car thats not my problem, the car is a phenom on the track , so all around it is quick and spirited but not fast..why is it that u rx8 guys always get your feather ruffled, ok ok your the best drivers in the world...PS i said 90% are not "track racers on a REGULAR basis....end of the day...go light to light with ALOT of cars and you will get whipped, when you are on the track 9 hours of the year i am sure you are the talk of the town....you can be my wing man anytime...lol you clubbers make me laugh...is there an rx8 ego check shrink available? lolol

Wow. Since when have I ever sat at a light and even looked at another car?

The light goes green, I start going. What else is there to do?

I don't feel a need to prove something when there is a red light above a yellow light above a green light encased in a black or yellow box. Other than I can stop for a red and go for a green. That is challenging for some people, so I guess it's a competition?

I only accelerate for turns and curves and carbon, never for idiots, retards, or camrys.
