I am looking for my first used 8...I have noticed a recent trend. In the last week I have seen 3 rx8's for sale really cheap. One for $8500 - 135000 km, second one for $8700 - 65000 km and today $6500 - 54000km. These were either autotrader or kijiji.

Is this the too good to be true syndrome or someone who has been low balled by a dealer and is trying to do a little better?

Any thoughts?

Wow, the last 2 are great prices. Consider moving on the last one now.

Winter always brings lower prices on sports cars. You may make like 6-8k if you buy the last one now (assuming it's in good condition) and want to sell it in the summer.

I would be more interested on why its too cheap to be true.... complete service records I hope.... some of the kms of the 8s on kijiji advertised were rolled back...thats just my 2 cents...

One is sold and the other two seem like scams...i guess it's "too good to be true"...

The first one is legit, the other two are scams. Just check blackbook numbers. You should be paying over that as a retail buyer.

Still, I'd totally rock a $9000 RX-8 as a beater. An incredible deal for a track car. At 25% of the original MSRP, the depreciation is almost done.

Thanks everyone...went a more legit route, and ended up with a great car...if its too good to be true, it probably is.
