Exhaust Air Intake - has anyone tried this?

I was at the dealership a while ago and noticed they had an Exhaust Air Intake available for about $600 or so. I was wondering if anyone has tried this out and if it actually makes much of a difference. I have a 2009 R-3 I'd like to put it on, but if you can't really tell the difference, it would be pointless. The dealer couldn't even give me much info about added HP, etc. Any info would help! Thanks!

no intake will add significant horsepower, but the best ones are the ms/aem or the racingbeat w/ duct

Recirculating the exhaust would kill the engine. You must be mistaken. The car already comes with a cold air intake.
There was once a warm air intake for carburetor engines. Air was funneled past the exhaust manifold into the carb in cold weather. A vacuum operated thermostat would close this off when the temperature raised to a certain point. This isn't necessary any more due to MAF/MAS sensors and ECM controlled fuel injection.

Ever heard of an EGR? (I recognize this is different from the issue you're addressing)

Thanks for the info. Is it tough to disable it? Have you found a noticeable difference with it disabled?
