Club Track Day: July 16th 2010

Club Track Day, sorry for all the confusion in the previous thread, so I started a new one.
I'm will put up the deposit if we can get least 10-12 for a half track and at least 20 for the full with no last minute back out unless there's a death in the family and the balance will covered by the group. If you say you'll go, you pay!

Shannonville / Fabi Track on July 16th. Start Time is 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm
$66.00 per car based on 12 cars more if less than 12, less if more. Had to add New HST
Helmets are Not Mandatory and you'll have to sign a waiver of responsibility

If your In, add to the list. 10 I'll book and hope for a few more by July 16th.
Don't want to lose another date. I hope to book by Monday, so sign up!
If we want as a group more time it's $350+HST per hour divided by the number of cars.

How To get to Shannonville Motorsport Park
From Toronto: Highway 401 east aproximately 150 km (90 miles) to exit #556 - Shannonville Rd. Proceed south for 2.4 km (1 mile) to Hwy #2, then east for 7 km (3 miles). Track entrance on the left hand side.

Do you guys notify insurance about a track day with your car?
are you required too?
I don't really want to obviously since I'm only 20 and I can't afford an increase. /or should I not bother telling them because they wont cover a track mistake anyways. and no I'm not planning on clearly crashing obv. but I would rather be informed than misinformed.

Usually no, and some people tape over their license plates as well as an added precaution so that neither the dealerships nor the insurance companies find out.

and i don't think we are 'required' to tell the insurance companies either.

O.K. I'll book today. Thumper as you can see we have a couple of track newbies, could you help out and write up do's, don'ts, and basic rules for the day and pm them to me I'll print them up for the day, thanks in advance.

Mike, if you wish you can drive out with me on the date, meet me at my work I'll give you more details closer to the date. I will be heading out from Markham around 1-2:00 o'clock as I'll have to be there early. See you got the exhaust done, LOUD!

Date is now booked and paid for, so we need a few more bodies to get to the magical number which is now $66 per car as HST has kick in. Sorry, guys for more government taxes, this really sucks. And a couple of more than 12 would be nice!

There's specific wording in all policies - if anything happens at the track you're SOL. Take the risk, don't tell 'em.

If you'll have me, I'll try to confirm closer to the date. I've done Fabi on my bike, but not in the 8. Maybe then Rxeckless I can buy those stickers off of you too!

Your welcome to join in and always have a few clings in the car. Received the contract for the track late Friday by the wording I'm only allowed 12 cars but I'm hope they'll allow a couple more, I'll call tomorrow to be sure.
This is new too me, I'm sure I've been there with more than 12.

01Racing

You really dont have to worry about how many cars will be on the track at once. Every time we did it last year we never had more than 10-12 out even with 20 people their. It seemed most (other than thumper) spent 60% bench racing and 40% driving lol. I did a manual for the track guys last year, check and see if any of last years people kept it, the manual had 90% of what you needed to do when starting on the track.

^ Yes there's a Gas Station on the way in, a kilometer or two from the track.
