ON Central West Ontario Zone

Just wondering if there enough enthusiasts in the Central West area of Ontario. That would the area around Kitchener/Waterloo/Cambridge, Brantford, greater Hamilton, Burlington and Milton (see light blue area in the attached map). If there's enough interest/replies in this thread, maybe we could set up a Central West Ontario Facebook group to communicate meets in our area. I could get something setup before the spring.

Looks like we have a good start. Note that this area also includes "lands to the south" such as St. Catherine's, Niagara peninsula, Simcoe etc. (sorry didn't mean to leave you out).

Yes I remember. Didn't get to Mosport this year due to conflicts with the Montreal F1 and family vacation, but I'm planning to go numerous times in 2015. Perhaps we should plan a mosport meet at one of the corners (eg 2, 3, 5 etc). If we do, we need Mazda/Rotary/RX7/RX8 flags or banners.

If you're in Kingston (city), you would be closer to the GTA (Toronto) folks as most members (and meets) are east and north-east of Toronto. They have a Facebook group "GTA RX-8 Club" that you could join. Also, I think there may be a group in Ottawa but I'm not sure about Kingston itself.

Looks like we have about 11 so far in the area. Any thoughts about a spring meet/event?

Your group should do a spring or weekend meet, It would be nice to go to a different location for a change. You probably won't get the numbers that the GTA spring meet gets but so what.

Yes I agree. A meet/event in the Burlington/Hamilton area would be good and yes sometimes more folks are not necessarily better.

A nice park with decent parking would be cool, doesn't have to be a typical parking lot like we usually end up at.
Maybe even try and get a food truck to show if it's going to be a saturday or sunday

Good ideas. I was thinking along the park idea too. Key is to find a park where there's no admission - such as the Driving Park in Dundas - but these will get busy and difficult to block-off a group space if the weather's nice. The food truck is an interesting idea I hadn't considered.

Im up for that as well. I agree on the numbers thing but I dont mind driving out there if its a good meet or gathering. Im sure some of the GTA Folks would be more than willing to make the drive, epscially the WEST End folks. Keep us posted in the spring time.

I went to the two meets out in Vaughn this year and it was great, I'll definitely be going again. I would be in for getting together a little closer to home though, preferably once the summer tires go back on

I am located in GTA but I usually am in Stoney Creeek every second Sunday
My 8 and my friend's modded Accord would love to join your guy's meets

Try collaborating some spring/summer meets with GTA club as well it may result in a great turnover.

All the best.. Looking forward to meeting some new rotary owners :-)

I'm in Waterdown and hope to have my 8 in the next few weeks and would love to meet a few other enthusiasts.

Quick question instead of starting a new thread:

Where are you ON guys getting your pre-mix? I read about the US supply and some place in Quebec. Is it 8 oz per tank or 1 oz per gallon and more necessary for the '04-'05's? In the meantime, I'm off to find the latter answers in a sticky somewhere.
