NS Any other 8's in NS?

Just wondering I live just outside Halifax and I always see RX-8's driving around just not sure if anyone in Halifax is on here or not.

The longest serving NS RX8 owner right here. Still lurk around here a little bit.

Where "just out side of Halifax" are you? I'm in Fall River my self, and my garage has become the center for rotary maintenance around here. (Between my 8 and FC, another friends FC and a pair of FDs.)

Long time lurker as well. Here in Dartmouth I see 3 or 4 other 8's regularly, but don't think they frequent the forum...

Wow.. I've only seen one Nordic Green around here before. Had some mods, met him down at Point Pleasant 3+ years ago. Didn't know there were any more (unless that's you.) I used to know every car, but there are a lot more
now.
I was in Cole Harbour, but moved to Fall River a year ago

Should have mentioned in my previous post, that mine is fairly obvious.. Winning Blue w/ stock wheels powder-coated anthracite.

You mean people actually drive in Nova Scotia? I thought all they do is sing and get drunk all day.

I haven't done the Cabot Trail in ages. Last time I did it was on my old CBR600F4.

Last time we were driving the Cabot trail (in the family MPV) a moose had us and tour coach stopped dead for a few minutes...them's big buggers.
As the senior member here Redshift has probably seen some get-togethers / cruises in the past, and knows how that goes...but if we want a sunny day that could take months.

Actually, I've only ever seen one meet. A month after the first batch of cars arrived, 3 of us got together. (At the time, there was only a dozen cars in Atlantic Canada, so it was a decent percentage.)
I've been toying with having rotary gatherings off an on. Thinking along the lines of install/maintenance parties. Usually busy working on my race car or a friends anyway. A few of us rotor-heads seem to be forming a rotary support group. Had 2 RX7s over last weekend getting various work done.

.."rotary support group" sounds like some sort of counselling for addicts....oh right, it is. Sounds like a great idea from R.S. as all earlier cars are coming off warranty, and we all love dealership rates...

Hmmm Fall River Tims is at the other end of Waverley Rd is it not.

Haha.. it certainly is. Waverly road is a nice little stretch and I'll sometimes take the scenic route home from work. Kind of sucked the night the RCMP heard me coming (damn Mazdaspeed exhaust) and pulled out behind me and followed me the whole way in.

Basically, a few of us who actually know something about Rotary's are helping each othe work on our cars. (The local dealer horror-stories are every expanding) We've also helped a few folks out on their cars for small cash donations.

So far, the major project has been my race car, but we also pulled the motor out of a friends 3rd Gen, and are helping him rebuild it sometime in June/July. (Well, one friend of mine who built his own motor will be doing it.. I'll be observing and fetching tools.)
Sometime this spring, I need to get my 8 tuned up. All waiting in my garage are new coils, plugs, wires, oil, transmission fluid and diff fluid. Should do the coolant at the same time, and the air filter is probably due as well.

Wow..would love to be a fly on the wall for some of that action, and wouldn't mind hearing that MS catback in action too... would love one myself but I drive year round and would hate to trash it in the salt.....tore the heatshield right off my cat this winter..ouch.

Once I get my garage cleaned up, I've been planning to have a little garage install party/BBQ sometime this spring (good intentions, we'll see.) But, you are certainly free to drop by and observe while we're working on something. Always good to have new folks.

How the heck did you tear off the heatshield? Part of the reason I don't winter drive mine. Mind you, the ratio has gone too far now.. I had 3 cars stuffed into the garage over the winter, and we shared my old beater truck.
