Aftermarket Body Kits and where?
Hi, ive been doing a lot of research lately and have been looking for a decent place where I can get a kit installed or even purchase one in Canada (mainly GTA area). I havent been too succsesful with this as of yet, however I know many of you already have either the MazdaSpeed kit on order, or even installed.
I know there are tons of dealers that sell this in the States, but i'm not sure on the duty that goes with that. However, I do have an adress in the states that I goto about once a year, and if anyone has a reputable company they know of that has different kits, I would most appreciate their website.
Main kit im looking for is the INGS + 1 Kit.
Thanks

I don't see much around with body kits, only saw 1 turbo red with sticker RX8 (MS kit) and 1 blue with turbo (stock appearance).
To be honest I love stock, the after market kit looks good in the first couple months but are not mean to be in good shape from months to months. Except u re-painted the kit once per year. Save your $ for rims and intake
People are either on vacation or something, or they are pretty busy testing their 8 with their chicks. I am still here!!Alive!!!

Hmm. Someone out in BC has a full Mazdaspeed set up. Maybe they'll show up here yet...
Come on, it's almost the holidays - not much time to hang out and check in on the forums all that often!

Slowlude here in Calgary had the real MS kit placed on his car and I believe that he ordered the parts from the US.
On the otherhand, you do know that your local Mazda dealer can get the MS kit in now, don't you? Don't worry, many dealerships don't even know themselves. I checked with my dealer here in Calgary and they are able to order it.
As for other body kits, you'll probably have to go through the states.

I live in Oakville and have the INGS +1 front and side skirts, with an MS rear.
I got them from Thew though, and they were made to order Hybrid Aero from japan.
Waited 2 months and a hell of alot of shipping costs.
but in the end, it was worth it

RMAGIC kit here..ordered from Japan..4 months approx?
There is really no one in Canada that carries RX8 body kits in stock..much less even have the distribution channels to get it...
Your safer to simply just order it from the states and pay the shipping. There is simply not that many RX8 enthuasiasts here in Toronto who modify their car ...hence there are not many shops that will have products in stock..
Granted the typical performance mods can be bought here in Canada through large distributors THAT may sometimes have one or two items in stock at best... (ie..like JRP). I've personally yet to see a modified 8 besides myself and Terrance at 5th Gear Performance in Mississauga.
Hopefully I'll run into some more next year...the 8 goes UNDER the knife again this winter for some more serious mods

Yeah, Hybrid hit the nail on the head.
I got it from mazdaparts.com, and shipping was atrocious.
It was shipped air from japan to toronto.
It came to something nuts like 900 bucks for the entire front and side skirts.
Oh well
I just got quoted for my new GReddy kit by my mechanic, so thats the next thing on the list for me.

Guys name is Mike from DL motorsports, heritage road burlington.
What I think ill do is order it from him and get it installed down south next time I hit florida.
I trust PETTIT racing to install the kit over my mechanic.

The install of the turbo kit is not as difficult as you think......but if you want to travel SO far to do it......that's cool too.. Granted I'm sure they'll do a great install but I believe mechanics here Toronto can do the same....... you may not know be we've some of the finest WRX/EVO/ECLIPSE/ROTARY tuners in the country right here in TO.

Thats good!
I know hes done LOTS of turbos, Every time im there hes turbocharging a different car, so its not like hes foreign to it.
The only think I questioned is his ability to tune for a rotary, becuase all the cars ive seen have been piston.
Maybe ill just let him install it and do a base tune, and if I want to go more agressive ill go to some high end tuners in TO to get it done. Especially if I go with a different EMS like an Fcon or Motec.
But hey, hes very good at emanage tuning, and has a dyno in shop, so it should be all good.
Thanks for the reassurance hybrid.
(BTW, when do it get to see the mean machine of yours , ill let you test my short sifter :-p )
