Swaybars movement??

Hi all,

A couple of months on still happy, torque checked and seems ok.

While i was checking out this morning i noticed that both the stabiliser control arms at the rear are twisted in the same direction. Both rotated clockwise in the vertical?

Does this indicate movement and whats the best way to rectify? Do at home job?

Cheers

Mike

Did you install the Whiteline clamps? But pics would really help!

Here ya go, both photos taken from same direction and you can see th erotation is the same direction in both. Yes have used clamps, in fact mechanic replaced one with a hose clamp as it's much tighter.

Yep, your endlinks look normal.

My DIY clamps have worked fine. No swaybar movement at all. Happy now!

Seems odd that they are both twisted in the one direction, sort of looks out of balance, both in or both out would seem normal...oh well won't panic.

Now I see what you mean. They are both twisted the same way aren't they. I didn't notice before. L&L, take a closer look.

I just had a look at mine. No twist. Perhaps you are cornering harder in one direction than the other? Or maybe the damage was done before you got the clamps on?

Took a drive and checked out two brand new RX8'S and both had the end links excatly as per pic from wildcards .

Bottom rear end links face each other the top ones face away from each other towards the wheels .

Its impossible for these end links to twist , Dan if yourse are not the same they may have been incorrectly fitted from the factory / or else you have been getting to many G forces or need glasses

Lock,
I think you have answered the question and i have a problem. My photos are different from Wildcards.
My links don't "face" each other. They both are parallel. Ie both face left at the top and right at the bottom. Like they have been twisted in parallel.
Mike
(and have glasses thanks!)

The one that does NOT face the engine bay is the wrong part. The pics in the first post are correct. The two sides are NOT interchangeable. I suggest you take it to the dealer, it should be covered under warranty.

L&L you are confusing me. In the first sentence you say that my endlinks look normal. What are you trying to say in your last sentence?

I thought we'd established that my pic was normal and mikeyr has the wrong part on one side. That is what we're saying, isn't it??
