Snow Report

Hey Guys and Gals (especially Kalli)

Quick hello from sunny Thredbo!

Some snow up top but the usual Aussie conditions are prevailing. It is also school holidays so there are minature speed humps everywhere.

Hope conditions are better for when Little John and Gibbo come down later in the season.

Thought I could go a week without my fix but found the internet terminals today and just had to log in to see what was going on.

Haven't injured myself (yet) but did snap my stocks in half - don't ask!!

Anyway, I'm off to work on my racoon tan and chase some snow bunnies.

Bye

I'm thinking of going on the weekend of 17-18 July. Do you think it will be worth the drive from Newcastle by then?

Don't do anything I wouldn't do.

Have a great one and save some snow for us,

Gibbo

Depends how fussy you are. There is enough cover up top to have some fun but it's not fantastic and a bit crowded. Probably be better when school holidays finish.

Just keep up to date with the snow report or better yet, make friends with someone in each resort!! :D

Man, I'm not having a good month.

First - massive fight with the ball and chain, which nearly lead to a murder-suicide pact.

Second - find out that I probably won't be able to make the Nats.

Third - put up with patchy snow for 7 days (yeah, yeah I know - hardly Devils Island but you pay a fortune to be there) and then it absolutely dumps down the day after I leave.

Fourth - some mongrel driving something white has run into the rear offside quarter of my 8 yesterday while it was parked and severely scraped the bumper panel - even managed to leave white paint on the exhaust tip. Of course no note or anything. I only had the bloody thing fixed by AAMI a few months ago following a rear-ender by some dopey moll. Now I get to pay $500 excess. Yeah, whoopee!

Somebody just shoot me.

Okay, okay. Just read what I wrote and think I'm being a pathetic whinger.

Here's the bright side:

1. The wife and I are talking again (although this could be construed as a problem :p ).

2. I'll avoid the embarrassment of the slowest lap time and/or rolling the car down the main straight and/or getting drunk and telling some forum members what I really think!

3. I managed to get through a week of skiing without injuring myself. For me, that's a real achievement. And lets not mention the stocks that I snapped in half.

4. It's only money and at least I wasn't in it when this pr*#k hit me....actually, no - even though I'm trying hard to look on the bright side of the car getting hit (again) I just can't come up with something convincing. It's a bummer whichever way I look at it.

Funny how everything got sorted out in my head except the car huh?!

I'm going now.

You know... You could turn the whole family crisis thing to your advantage.. For $15 per night ($30 if you pay for Mrs Revolver) you could take the honeymoon suite at Wakefield.. We may even have a DJ for the night who can play that famous hit from Lady & The Tramp (The spagetti song)... :D
