I don't know if anyone is keeping details/history of this in this public forum (or if anyone cares), but an RX-8 achieved the following offically measured times at Willowbank drag strip recently:
60' = 2.065 seconds
ET = 14.777 seconds
MPH = 92.67 (93.03 achieved on another run)

All done without blowing gearboxes or clutches. The Judge has lunched 1st gear at least twice. Oh-dear!
