Looking for new tyres!

Hey guys, my P Zero Rosso's at the rear are starting to get close to the warning tab. I'm looking for a new rubber, i'd love to stick to the P Zero's but at $565 a corner (Knox City Tyre Power) they are friggen pricey.

Any one got any other suggestions? Good performing tyre with moderate wear?

Looking at 350 - 400 range?

People have experienced some DSC problems when mixing tyres.

I'm not convinced it's a universal problem but I would still err on the side of caution and keep all four the same if I were you.

If the Goodies are so much cheaper than the Pirelli's, why not replace all four and keep the best two Pirelli's for track days until they've had it.

I mentioned the other night, call around to tyre power stores. They often do good deals on stock that isnt moving. I picked up my 235/40 PZero Rosso Asymetrico's for $300/tyre.

Cheers

That could be one of your problems. 225/45/18 is a pretty uncommon size therefore low demand, therefore high price. Most people are replacing their stocks with 235 or 245/40/18.

Cheers

anyway stock size fornew rx8's that came out 2006 is 235/45/18. Domza go wide if u can, 245 i fink is the widest u can go on stock wheels. I run kumho ecsta 265/30/19 and they aren't that bad, cheap too.

I run 235/40/R18's on 18x8.5 rims.

I've calculated the speedo error to be between 2-3km/h on indicated (accepting that the speedo is usually conservative on stock rubber anyway). I don't mind that - prefer to err on the side of caution (until I get all my points back anyways ).
