$20k is hardly enough $$$ to make your 8 step/stand out of the crowd nowadays.....

I'd make it stand out of the crowd by repaying my loan. Thats how.

That way i can drive with a guilt free conscience. :p

What bank did u go with?? Maybe i will get a small loan, another 20k and that should be enough to fill up the fuel tank and if there is anything left, buy some mods. Mine sucks 18 litres every 100 kms, monsta, always hungry

I'd stick it on my mortgage so I could afford a 911 a little sooner...

Just filled up this morning: ~10L/100km after a couple of highway trips up and down the coast and suburban driving since New Year. Didn't stint on the pedal, but then again, didn't thrash unnecessarily.

About spending $20k on your car: ever noticed that there is a convergence of appearance in body-kitted, blinged-up cars? After a while, it's hard to tell a Nissan 200SX from an RX-8 from whatever else has had the bolt-on fibre glass treatment.

thats a 911 with an "incorrect" front end.....
the 996 will be cheap to buy in the next 6 to 12 months.... due to its "incorrect" front end and over supplied.
i think i will stick to the 993 or "stretch" the budget for a 997

Yep... Having just done 5,000 km of 90% highway driving with a very full car, using a variety of 98 fuels, I can confirm that 10L/100Km is easy to achieve.. It is a little harder to get with 95 fuels (seems Canberra and some NSW towns were out of fuel this week).. It also includes a couple of short bursts of overtaking Volvos, Winnebagoes, Long Semi-trailers and Monaros driven by very old people!

Well, if you've $20k and you are interested in a 20B, I suggest you consider buying anyone of the number of imported Cosmos that are for sale. They'll give you a good sense of the 20b. Check out the 'for sale' in Ausrotary, and DMRH's site -- www.dmrh.com.au

Only problem is, I suspect the purchase price is just the beginning of the money you'll spend

I would ship my car to Australia and my CALIFORNIA license plate should set me apart from you Aussies.

On a serious note:
-I'd get an authentic Autobahn front end and sideskirts to go with my MS wing. Think that would be a different look.
-Axial Flow Super Charger
-Volk wheels
- HKS adjustable coilovers.

Yup, that should do it...

I'd hire a couple of Yakuza, in white suits with katanas strapped to their backs, to escort me on a road trip along the east coast of Australia. They'd be clearing the way for me on their high end Japanese superbikes.

I'm sure that would make me stand out on the road.
