Go-Karts, tow bars and ridiculous ute CTP
Well I've decided to bite the bullet and get back into go-karting with the impending release of this:
www.sqracing.com.au
(download the video if you've got the bandwidth! )
This of course leaves me in a bit of a pickle as far as transport goes. I considered the option of buying a crappy old ute for under $2k, but after rego and insurance I'd almost be looking at paying that agin every year just to keep it on the road!
So, I did a bit of search for "rx8 tow bar" and found this:
https://www.rx8club.com/printthread....0&page=2&pp=25
Just wondering whether these have become any more common? Has anyone here had a towbar installed since Kanen8's pioneering efforts?
Hayman Reese are still returning the "no demand" message (despite having demand for current mx-5's!!!). Btw, aren't the new mx-5's based on the Rx8 chassis? You think it would be simple enought to modify a towbar for one of these to fit the rx8.

My Father would say this is sacriledge!! However, I think there is a Mazda part as I think you mentioned.....I would think it would look better if you can hide the fact that you have a tow bar, Honda do a nice one with a blanking plate.
Why not give Allins Tow Bars a call and see what they say. They put tow bars on all sorts and they might be able to help you for less $$.
Good luck with the carting venture. Too dangerous for me!!!

Yeah, hopefully I could find something stealthy enough.
Have you dealt with Allins before? Would you recommend them?
... karting's safe as houses
