Brake fluid
I remember sometime ago that we were talking about engine oil and we brushed on the topic of brake fluid. I remember Hymee talked about Shell racing and Motul but nothing specific.
I asked this question because I have a strange feeling that the brake paddle is feeling firmer than usual and I am not sure it was braking as well as it has been. Maybe I was tired and have not been driving the car for a while. I have done 2 track day with this fluid and I am wishing to change pending on price and labour.
Hymee, could you specify the brake fluid you recommanded before?

If you had air in the lines the pedal would feel spongier, not firmer. Generally speaking firmer is better. For fluid you can either use ATE Super Blue/Typ 200 or Motul 600. The Motul will cost twice as much. I don't think it's worth it. I went to a track day at Laguna Seca in near-record heat (90 plus) on stock brakes and Super Blue. Never had brake fade.

There is Motul 600 (which is a Dot 4 fluid) with good boiling point for dry and wet (over 200 cel). Do you know that it is DOT 3 for stock!?
How much do I need is the next question. I guess I can find that out in the owner's manual but if not - please answer this now please thank you. :p

I ended up using Motul RBF 600 which DOT 4 with a very high wet boiling point. I changed it last Oct and it is already dark. I think it will be good for another few months and I have to cahnge again. I think 2 bottles of $30 each.

If you have access to a compressor...I use one of these.

You can use the "refiller" and let the brakes bleed until the fluid looks new.
