[VIC] DIY Workshop & BBQ - 23/06/2007

We are hosting a "Do It Yourself " workshop. We have access to a full 4 point hoist, so we can have some good viewing.

We will be covering a number of topics:
  • Change Engine Oil and filter
  • Change Brake Pads
  • Change Brake Fluid
  • Change Gearbox Oil
  • Change Diff Oil
  • Flushing Radiator
Due to time constraints and safety issues we will be working on only 1 car. If you are willing to pay for the consumables for all these items (Brake Pads can be an exception) let me know and you can be the show case car .

We will start at 10am and finish around 3pm. We will be providing a BBQ Lunch for $10 at around 12:30. Let me know if you have any special needs.

It is being held in West Heidelberg (thanks to RXVIII) , further details closer to the day.

We have to limit this to 20 people so get in quick.
List:

Taka, why do we have to post 25 characters per post?

It is not the first time. Those LED are useless. Change it back to Bluevision now.

Maybe whilst you are at it you can demonstrate how easy it is to remove the whole front bumper!! Just in case anyone needs or wants to put protective screens or air ram duct etc!!!!

Great idea guys.

I'd love it if someone who knows how to do all this stuff could stage something similar for the Sydney crew.

I can contribute with taking the centre console apart to do whatever to your stereo including adding an iPod adapter.

can you trust taka with a hoist, tools and his car alone?!?!?!?

if you do you might end up with 1 x renesis engine on the floor...

lol yes sorry, Craigs added.

As for the extra stuff, Kall is right. We will struggle for time as it is but we will do another of these later in the year. Most of these suggestions dont need a hoist anyway so makes it a lot easier.

As for non VIC people, go have a chat to one of the nicer dealers or MazFix, Ric Shaw, etc.

Cheers

Andrew

4 rotors

I never been to Craig's "office"

Di qe have more spaces (floor space) around the hoist? A covered spot will do us for centre console or light bulb changes.

For your underprivileged interstate members, it would be nice if someone could document each procedure with pics and words and produce some concise DIY threads for the forum.
