My car was really dirty and I cleaned it yesterday. It was near sunset and I tried to get a few pics. Then I started playing around with PhotoImpact and the contrast. I don't know what anyone will think; I thought the high contrast looks sort of neat. I also had an opportunity to take some pics of my radar detector; an Escort Solo2. I think it is the cleanest place for the thing and police can't even see it.

Please notice that the photos are done with a telephoto 2x attachment to my Olympus 4040z camera, creating a more "flat" perspective of the car.

The photos are reduced in size and data, to fit on the forum . I have higher resolution, larger originals if anyone is interested.

Pic #13: Outside view of Escort Solo 2. Note that the "spots" in the windshield that shade the rearview mirror also "mask" the suction cups for the detector; it is just under the dots and sees right through. The Solo 2 is also battery operated so there is no need for electrical hook-up.

Pic #14: Escort; front view. The "red" color on the Escort must be where the receiver is, if I'm correct. I noticed the color after taking the photo. Notice again, you can't even see where the attachment suction cups are.
