I am going to the Birmingham motor show on the 25 and the final final pre production Rx-8 will be there! Im going to take lots of pictures so if anybody wants a picture of a certain part of the Rx-8 just tell me!

 

I want to see plenty of pictures of the center console, if you can get that close. And try to get some pics of the mirrors I would like to see how they have changed :D

Yah, take as many as you can of everything. You can always throw out the bad ones, but you'll never be able to take more once you've left.

I'd like to see the trunk and engine if at all possible.

 

Whatever you can get.

 

I'll be there too the day after... I had to sacrafice a chance to go and "help" with the setup of a stand because of bloody work! What I do for them... and it's all in vain too!

Still, I'll do my best to get some good shots, If I can find the charger for my camera!

 

actually, of all the pics of the rx-8 I have seen already, I have not seen a straight side shot of the car with the front door open and the rear door still closed. If you could get a shot of that it would be great.

What does final final pre-production mean?

As in, "the finalized design that will be seen in production models"
(the supposed face lift, mono-color interior and slightly redesigned headlamps) or "the final design before the finalized production design" (as in the yellow RX-8 we've seen a million times)??

Get a lot of pics!

 

I am only 14 years old and they might just think im just wanting inside all the cool cars so that might restrict the pics i can get. I wonder if they will have the engine bay closed like at the last shows?

PS. I said final final because supposedly they are not going to change the Rx-8 from this model.

If the car is the yellow one that was at france, I don't think it HAS an engine in it... so it would be difficault for them to show that off!.. I imagine it has some sort of "Milk Float" power... to move it about the stand, which suggests also that the boot (Trunk) is a mess!

I'm betting you will not see the final-final at the UK show but one of the ones you've seen before.
I still say Detroit will be the site for the World-wide lauch in January and everyone will be pleasantly surprised IMHO.:D :D :D

The pre-motor show report in the Herald newspaper said that it was the final pre production model so it will probably be the red one that we are beginning to see pictures of.

Well, I for one will be at the Detroit show and taking lots of pictures. The Detroit shows for the next few years should prove to be pretty good, with cars the RX-8, C6, new Supra, new RX-7, new NSX...
