He doesn't even carry a gun...He's a licensed bounty hunter. Clavius 09-14-2006, 04:34 PM Jesh.. they'll do anything for a Season Opener now wont they!! :nono: otherside 09-14-2006, 04:38 PM Our justice system sucks.... Easy_E1 09-14-2006, 07:50 PM The Dog in the Dog House, dillsrotary 09-14-2006, 07:52 PM he broke mexican law, which is pretty hard to do, should have just paid off the cops. Clavius 09-14-2006, 08:09 PM he broke mexican law, which is pretty hard to do, should have just paid off the cops. Thats the law he broke.. He didnt pay them off. Transam kid 01 09-14-2006, 09:41 PM Looks like he's goin back to jail.....so if he skips bail....who goes after him? HCTR154 09-14-2006, 09:52 PM Dog Chapman is a felon from Texas. I believe he was in TDC for murder in the late 70's/early 80's. I don't see how anyone can have sympathy for him. BunnyGirl 09-14-2006, 10:58 PM He wasn't the one that committed the murder. He happened to be there when it happened. Under the laws that made him as guilty as if he would have actually done it. I can't remember the exact story, though. :dunno: nzarnow 09-15-2006, 01:47 AM What exactly is a liscensed bounty hunter? How does one go about getting this certificate or what not? The whole thing sounds stupid. Can't detectives do the same thing, but better? BunnyGirl 09-15-2006, 09:34 AM Can't detectives do the same thing, but better? Apparently not or there wouldn't be so many bounty hunters out there. :) Basically, they go out and find bail jumpers and other criminals on the run and bring them in. When they are convicted of their crimes the bounty hunter gets the reward money put up for their capture, basically. I'm sure there is more to it, but that's the basic idea of it. Razpewton 09-15-2006, 10:21 AM Yeah....how much does it cost to become a licensed booty hunter? I could do that..... MadRonin 09-15-2006, 11:52 AM Yeah....how much does it cost to become a licensed booty hunter? I could do that.....$0.69 ;) :D: Digital_Damage 09-15-2006, 12:35 PM So let me get this right. they went in to Mexico to get someone that skipped out on bail. Then skipped out on bail from Mexico themselves. And they are upset why? anyone else see the irony? BunnyGirl 09-15-2006, 01:11 PM They went to go get Andrew Luster, that the US authorities didn't know where he was or where to find him. He is convicted of drugging and raping women and is serving a 120-year (something well over 100 years) sentence for it. Mexican authorities weren't cooperating, so the asshole was living a great life in "hiding" in Mexico. Mexican law makes bounty hunting illegal but I think they did a really good thing in capturing that jerk when no one else was. Detrich 09-15-2006, 02:10 PM yah, i think the u.s. gov't ought to be appreciative of his service and fighting mexico on the extradition- rather than arresting & sending him over there... i mean, mexico can barely run its own law enforcement properly- their police dept redefines "corruption." and, now they're making a stink over letting a known criminal rapist get brought to justice, all because of an american bounty hunter? mexico should be thankful there is one less rapist hiding in their country. but, then again, that would be too logical for a "so-called" civilized nation like theirs to comprehend. :bsmeter: Clavius 09-15-2006, 03:11 PM Again I'm starting to smell a very good "season premire" written all over this lil episode. The show is backed by A&E right? Your telling me that A&E doesnt have a dozen lawyers who couldnt finagle a deal so he wouldnt be arrested? Besides this is great friggin' publicity for the show. "Hey isnt that bounty hunter who got arrested show on tv?" "Yeah lets watch it to see who he is" WHAM instant ratings. Again Mexician police are as clean as a old school NYC hooker so I doubt they even could find the paper work to even start a extradition charge more less a warrent for Dogs arrest. DOMINION 09-15-2006, 04:22 PM The Dog in the Dog House, Haha! WhiteDealershipRice 09-16-2006, 09:35 AM Get a private investigator licence, and then only go after bail jumpers/ most wanted criminals that have a reward for info on them, turn them in, collect the reward and BLAMO!!!!! Youre rolling Boba-Fett style! ...Slave1 baby! |
