I'm 17 and I was looking for cars. I picked the rx-8 or g35....I ended up choosing the rx-8 because I felt it was better. my dad checked the insurance and surprisingly, it was cheap for a sports car. So we went to check it out. We wanted to get a 2006 model (unless they didn't have what we wanted). So we test drive it and I like it. During the test drive, my dad mentions where he works. The rep. says that if you work at that company, you get the s-plan which is the car at invoice price. Yes...that is awesome. So we are getting a 06 GT velocity red black/red interior. should be sweet. and if it doesn't work out, we will get a 07 model..it just wont be as cheap.

It's funny how his first words are "I'm 17"...

I think a lot of us got the car for invoice price, without being in no S-Plan. Good tatic though from the car salesman. Anyways congrats and be careful out there.

Some people are born lucky and have there parents to buy them their cars. But people like me have to work and suffer and hope to get a car. Good luck and enjoy your car. You lucky bastard.

I think you can do better than dealer invoice.

I paid dealer invoice back in early 2004, before there were problems selling the RX8.

Even my friend just bought a brand new 2007 CX-7 for $1000 UNDER dealer invoice, and the CX-7's are selling well, and have only been out a few months.

I think I read somewhere that the insurance was low because a lot of the ins. companies saw it as a 4 door car with a 1.3L engine.
