Anybody going to the autocross in Everett tomorrow morning? It's a little different than usual. From the WSCC site:

"This is a consecutive-laps event. You will leave the starting line once, take a practice lap, and then continue and take 3 more laps. Each of the 3 official laps will be individually timed and scored."

I think I like this a little better than the usual format, so I'll be there to give it a try.

I think I like this a little better than the usual format, so I'll be there to give it a try. How was it? I couldn't convince myself that one (admittedly slightly long) run, and spending the rest of the time either waiting to run or twiddling my thumbs working the course, was how I wanted to spend Sunday, so I stayed home. I'll be at the one this Sunday.

It was pretty good. In some ways I actually liked the format better, but maybe that's because it's more what I'm used to. I think there were only something like 32 cars for the morning session, so it didn't take as long as it could have. The thing I like least about autocross is the amount of time it takes for the amount of actual driving you get, so I definitely understand why people might not like all the runs being put together. I took some in-car video that turned out alright. Maybe I'll post it if I can find a place to host the files. It really shows how many places I need improvement though. :)

Unfortunately I won't be able to make the event this Sunday.
