You're totally right what are they thinking!! I mean all that padding on the front and back of the car is really ugly!!

Seriously though, the 3rd gen is such a pos in every way, I doubt that it can get any worse....

I agree, wont look anything like that on the hood!! It will still be a sin to see it on the road but atleast you know you wont get a speeding ticket!! :)

Makes sense, seeing as how they're pretty much the same car and Mitsu doesn't seem to be in a rush to seperate the two lines. Keeps overhead low, I guess...

i dunno, you can't really see what's under that padding...it looks like the back drops off but the canvas makes it look like a hatchback...

If it's a Mitsu, I hope their components stand up better against rust now!! My wife had an Eclipse 4 yrs ago and the body looked great, but everything else rusted like crazy.

Here's a pic of my POS next to my brand spanking new RX-8. This POS helped me get both cars sponsored by RO_JA/Motegi/American Racing, 2Fast.com and starting in January BF Goodrich. So I personally take a little offense to that comment. Anyways to each his own. I hope I didn't just start a sh*t storm.

im eclps0 from eclipseforums.org i think i saw your pics of your car. i used to have a eclipse but had a lemon, i traded it in for a rx-8. Also ur eclipse looks hot i like what you did to it.

I feel like the red-headed step child. I get flammed on the Eclipse forum for having a RX-8 "ugliest car on the road from what they are saying" and having a POS Eclipse from the opinions on this site. Oh well! I love both cars!

mitsu is good, but only for those manufactered in Japan. Those built in US are bad, parts easy to break down. My friend's 2G eclipse is a good example.

Can't tell what it will look like with all that tape and cover but as it stands it is damn ugly.

Mrs. SHOWOFF, that is a real nice looking Eclipse you got there. It is refreshing to see such a clean example of aftermarket modification in a time where the more crap (huge wings, stickers, etc.) is thought to be cool by some.

After some time I think I see what you mean ... but for me it's more around the bottom of the door crease/shaping - still it is very similar ... although I think that the front wheel vent on the Eclipse is just a reflection --- but I could be wrong ... but I hope not!

Thanks for the credit! It seems like most guys don't believe me...even if I am the only one in the car. The Eclipse used to be mine before I got married...I am starting to compromise though, so I can drive both the Eclipse and the 8. It's funny to see us fight like kids on who drives what! :)
