They already knew about this recall. they talked to me they would send mail to

us. hoo... I already placed my car to ship to my country.. this sudden news made

me crazy. I may not get recall service. you guys have any good idea?

no.. I believed that. but someone didn't believe this information. I wanted to make sure that.

 

and also, the reason I posted this was I must know how to get recall service as fast as I can. I can't wait until I receive recall mail because I don't have enough time as I said.

 

So what was your plan if a recall on another item was to happen 6 months from now?
There is nothing you can do about this since the letters didn't go out so step outside and enjoy the day. The world is not going to end. Your 8 will not blow up.

which country? Do you have a Mazda dealership there?

 

Hmm yeah john this is a tough question. im afraid basically you wont be able to get the recall work done if you leave before the letters go out. perhaps they will dso this in otehr countries but im sur eits up to the individual mazda representation in the atcountry. however if you were ever to come back you could still be under the recall and have it dont. if you currently arent experienceing any issue dont worry about it.

 

about the recalls news, is that only just for America or all over the world???
coz I'm form HK , and my 8 is made in Japan , i really dont know i have those problems or not....... ???? thx

 

^All of our 8's were made in Japan...as for the recall, I think it is just through Mazda North America.

Saaaay.. you guys are talking about all this waiting stuff, and now I'm confused. I called my service guy up at my local Mazda dealership and said, "Hey, that stuff i complained about a couple of times but you guys said you couldnt reproduce? well its a recall bulletin now." He pulled up my VIN, stuck it in and became very humble about it. He asked when i could come in and I said tomorrow. I got an appt at 0930.

...But in hindsight, it might be good to go ahead and call just to make sure they actually have everything they need and if he and I are jumping the gun faster than his boss wants. Eh, whatever. I just want it fixed!

 

that's bull cra. i am pretty sure that ALL RX8s ARE FROM JAPAN.
don't be fooled by your sales persons. ALL OF THEM ARE FROM JAPAN.

Yep, all 8s are made only in Japan. You must have confused Mazda with Toyota.

RX8 are made in Hiroshima plant in Japan.

 

ill bet u all a million dollars that none of our engines will be replaced and they will just need a reflash and plugs
