Do you guys have any knowledge of what's involved in selling my car to somebody who is based in Canada? I have to tell the guy if I am willing to sell the car to him or not today and the DMV is closed to find out the details. Any input would be greatly appreciated. I am in California. Thanks.

 

who cares..............take his money, sign over the title to him, get it notarized (as your bank will do) then let him worry about it.............

PS: whenever I sell a car, I type up a simple little document simply stating that I'm selling the car, he's buying it, we've agreed, etc and have everyone sign copies just to keep around in case the sold car turns up to be running cocaine or something..........it helps if for some reason, the sold car never gets registered, etc..............

 

The document is a smart thing to do.

The taxes and licensing are up to the buyer.
