I bought a RX8 from an auction for my wife, her wedding present.......

It needed a front bumper and headlights, so I have never seen the car run, but the car came with the key and the remote.




When I went to start the car I get in put the key in and turn the key forward and then I see the immobilizer light flash very fast (faster than before)


Does this mean that the key is not programmed for the car?


I dont have signal to the starter,fuel pump and ecu.....so that is why the car wont start.......


Any ideas?

Yes, sounds like the key is not programmed to the car. There are some locksmiths that can perform the programming, but most likely you will need to take it to a dealer.

...and hope that the title paperwork to the vehicle is more valid for the vehicle than the key apparently is....
