I called Mazda's financing directly 1-800-639-1000 and asked if I can get the college rebate for the 04 RX-8. They said "NO" (because the program doesn't cover `04 cars).

there has been some reports that people actually getting the college rebates for the car. If u have gotten it, can u let us know the steps that u took to get it?

I'm pretty skeptical, but I want to college rebate!

As long as u have at least a junior standing in a 4-year college, u qualify.

My dealer said I could use the college rebate. Should be picking up the car today, so we will see how it goes.

Yep, I was able to use the college rebate. The dealer took the $500 off, no hassle at all.
