dtorre 07-26-2006, 11:24 PM Looks great....just paint the calipers a different color....red,gold,blue...doesn't mesh
NgoRX8 07-26-2006, 11:28 PM 7 months! damn glad you finally got them.
Moostafa29 07-26-2006, 11:32 PM Didn't think I'd like them on anything but black, but you proved me wrong. They look great!
Yea i gotta change the color of the brakes i got a powder coating gun i might just color them black or gunmetal not sure yet. I just put a HKS Hi Power wit burnt tip and ran it to one side. I still have to clean up the trim but it was melting the tip cover, bumper whatever its called but i took it off for now. Glad you guys like them. Not sure what to do about center cap, lazi's wont fit these wheels but on advans site i found caps that cover the hole but Lord only knows where and how i could get my hands on them. Thanks for the replies
TragicallyHip 07-26-2006, 11:43 PM Hell yeah! alot of people aren't big fans of 3-spoke rims anymore, but I LOVE them... They always looked great on RX7's and it appears they can be pulled off with an RX8 aswell.
These look really good on your car, well worth the 7 months :)
I prefer this style over the style that Lazi has just because of the wider gap between the spokes, but Lazi's look hot too!
SayNoToPistons 07-26-2006, 11:51 PM how much did they cost and how much do they weigh? :)
edit: this is how it looks on a 7. Yokohama Super Advans 18x8.5 F and 18 x 9.5 R ... also another pic of the same FD with Work Equips 18x9 fronts 18x10 rears if anyone wants lol.. dont wanna thread jack more.

they cost me 2600$ tax, tag, title. The tires i paid 650$ shipped for Falkins Azenes AT615, 255/40s and 225/40s. They weigh 21lb.14oz rear 20lb.14oz front
wuts the width TiLm? tire size seems a bit small?

yea he has the new version. i have the older one. i really do like the newer ones =)
18 X 8.5 front and 18 X 9.5 rear. I wanted a little stretch. but they didnt make 255/35/18 in the azenis there alittle beefy in the rear at 255/40
ohhhh u wanted drift look eh! hahaha
Yep i figured i had the wheels. but not on these wheels, im gonna sell my stocks and pick up sum 17s for drifting. Still dont have it down, Yet. but im practicing. got most basics down, (figure eights and 2nd gear turns). Its just the high 3rd gear drifts I'm to chicken or i spin out. got the agency power rear sway and end links, seem to help.
BigOLundh 07-27-2006, 12:24 AM the rims look great.
i would suggest getting a body kit to complete the look
i'm thinkin about Zeal, or Erfolgkei coilovers, but yea i need a kit. I'm not sure which kit. we'll see. I think im gonna black out my rear lights and turn signals next week. My best friends a painter so it wont cost me anything. just haven't see them on a blue car yet.
IZoomZoomI 07-27-2006, 12:40 AM three spokes all over the place! I'm impressed. Gold and blue goes well together.
REV_ME_62 07-27-2006, 02:49 AM Those look beautiful! Blue and gold are a good combination!
Mazdaspeed RX8 ver2 07-27-2006, 04:39 AM personally, i dont like 3 spokes but it looks really nice
yea "eff" the 3 spokers. i hate them. screw them all.
yellowRX 07-27-2006, 01:51 PM Damn three spoke bastards, why didn't I get that manny complements on my Advans. I only got a few positive comments. It seems like everyone loves yours, hahaha I don't care anyway I love my rims. Welcome to the Advan :grouphug: so dose that make 3 people on the club that have them, or dose anyone else have them on their ride?
TragicallyHip 07-27-2006, 04:18 PM yea he has the new version. i have the older one. i really do like the newer ones =)
Ohhh his are the newer style? My bad. But as I said, they both look great :boink:
And i'm off to find pics of yellowRX's ride now (hopefully they'll be on here somewhere :dunno: )

Hey Sam, I don't know if this is a stupid question but my center caps say Gen.2 on them, so it's a gen2 not 1 right?

yea the "Gen.2" are the 2nd style of the 3 spoke cave in. the first ones are the old school flat faced ones. it goes yellowrx, lazi, tilm. in that order of the update in the 3 spoke rims
RA-Eight 07-27-2006, 07:23 PM Nice! Looks good in gold too! I vote for black calipers!

Thanks for clearing that up man. I really had no idea lol.
sounds like a Advan time line. But my ? is will gen 2 caps fit my wheels? do they make caps for mine? where can i find them? Advans rock  yea!
I think i will go with black, or maybe gold but i think that would be to much.
XDEEDUBBX 07-28-2006, 02:00 AM looks good man. i like the version 2 's much better
TragicallyHip 07-28-2006, 03:43 AM Tilm, I think the rims you have look better without caps. I think the only thing that would make them look any better is a polished aluminum style center cap to just fill in the hole in the little hole in the center :)
4 years to Supercharge 07-28-2006, 04:09 AM Black calipers would look nice gleaming off the rim.
There has to be some center caps for those to complete the good looking rim setup.

no center caps for your model
I think these will fit i just dont know how to get them
http://www.yokohamatire.jp/yrc/japan/wheel/brand/advan_cap/index.html
to be honest. i think your rims looks awesome without the center caps.
thanks lazi. yea i think so to, but i have to keep painting the centers black. if i dont they look all rusted and might leave me with rust stains from the water running down. it happened to me before on some rims i had on my other car. they were getin stained cause my lug nuts were open and the rust off the studs was dripping down the rim and that sucked. my car sits in a garage most of the time, but it rains alot this time of year. so its more of a matinance thing then looks
my bad thanks to every one that has left replies . and anyone who doesn't like them
Tilm - Lazi - Yellow
:bootyshak :bootyshak :bootyshak
it still looks bad ass hahah
rotarenvy 07-28-2006, 07:55 PM looks great!
I don't think stretching the tyres would have make it look any better, if anything I think it would look worse.
your car is one of the best blue 8's around :)
TragicallyHip 07-28-2006, 09:22 PM Heh, If only the original Mazda centercap would fit! If it weren't silver :\
