Just got back from vacation and I have about 300+ pictures online.
Check them out (http://picasaweb.google.com/chr1star) if you're interested. Alot of the pictures are of family, but there are some good ones of the mountains and Vienna.
enjoy! :wiggle:

Ahh Schoenbrunn. Did you see any of the "operas" that they try to foist on tourists?
My favorite recollection of Austria is still Beethoven's house.
Even though it was wildly out of tune, the memories playing the piano upon which L.VonB actually played still gives me chills.
"Austria???????? Well then.....G'day MATE!"
:D
Excellent!! Looks beautiful!

My entire family from my fathers side lives in austria / europe, so I visit alot. I've seen so much cool stuff, it was great to take my wife there because she's never been outside the USA (save for our honeymoon in cancun, which doesn't count as leaving the country).
"Austria???????? Well then.....G'day MATE!" You don't know how many times I've heard that.
them: "So, where are going on vacation?"
me: "Austria"
them: "wow australia! that's going to be awesome, be sure to get some pictures of crocodiles or something"
me: "die in a fire"

I heard it first on "Dumb and Dumber" ;)

Wow, what a coincedence. We just got back from Vienna a couple of days ago after spending a week there. It's a nice place, but it was too freeking hot. We weren't prepared for the heat. What's worse is we brought our 2 month old and we couldn't do anything until after 7pm, when it cooled down. Nothing was air conditioned, not even the subway. I can completely understand though. It's only warm 2 months out of the year.
Next trip to Europe will have to be when it's cooler. We stayed at the Intercontinental, near Stadtpark. I was surprise that just about everyone spoke English. Overall, it was a nice place. I did see two RX8s.

Next trip to Europe will have to be when it's cooler. We stayed at the Intercontinental, near Stadtpark. I was surprise that just about everyone spoke English. It was very hot this year. Generally it's in the 80's and cool during the day and you need jeans and maybe a sweater for the night.
Overall, it was a nice place. I did see two RX8s. Suprisingly I saw a bunch of rx8's too.
